SMD Soldering

Can anyone refer me to somewhere in Melbourne where I can get some SMD components soldered on to anything for using on a breadboard? Preferably somewhere either central or North West Melbourne. My first attempt to do it myself led to the SMD falling apart. All it is is a 5x5x1mm LED with 6 pads and I would like to connect it to 3x 2pin header for a breadboard.

Any suggestions?

If you can't find someone local, I suggest checking out the Connected Community Hacker Space - See

They're in Hawthorn (near Swinburne Uni/Glenferrie train station), so fairly central.

Someone there should be able to help you make up something to fill your need.

Disclaimer: I run the 3D Printing night at CCHS.

Ooo. Looks like the sort of place I need to check out. Thank for the heads up. It's there a recommended time to go along?
