I think the 16-wire ribbon cables used for the Pebble mk. 2 LCDs (you know the ones I mean, Mark and Jon, and everyone else will see them soon as well) could be very good as an independent item which is kept in stock by Freetronics.

They're useful for lots of things, you can't easily buy anything like that off the shelf anywhere, and trying to make your own from scratch by soldering it together by hand is a highly-labor-intensive pain in the bum, and the end result is usually a little bit unreliable.
