H-Bridge Motor Not Running

Post by Ryan » Fri May 01, 2015 10:59 am

I bought a H-bridge today and trying to connect it up this afternoon and run the example sketch for a dc motor I don't seem to be able to get it to work. My voltmeter is telling me that each of the pins seem to be giving out the signals they should but there seems to be a negligible potential difference between the output 1 and 2 terminals (they both appear to be at the positive voltage). Any suggestions?

Could you please tell us what voltage your motors are designed for, and how are you powering the setup.

Just testing it out with a tiny 5v motor at the moment. Powering it through the vin to motor power bridge, whole system powered by a plug pack power supply into the arduino.

Oh I see. What voltage is your plug pack? The 5V motor should be spinning like crazy if you have the "bridge Vin to motor power" jumper on - and your plugpack is greater than 8V DC.
