Connecting Eleven to DMD

The "Eleven" is our Uno-equivalent Arduino-compatible board, but with a number of improvements including prototyping area, a mini-USB connector, LEDs mounted near the edge, and the D13 LED isolated using a FET. [Product page]

Connecting Eleven to DMD

Post by william_stevens » Sat Apr 27, 2013 5:00 am

When connecting the eleven to the dmd I noticed that the pins don't seem to match up.

The DMDCON connector has 8 pins, a gap and then two pins. The Eleven has 10 pins in the Digital I/O top grouping. Are the pins from the DMDCON connector meant to fit into those 10 pins?

I don't want to damage anything before testing the DMD.

If you look on the DMDCON you will see the pins labelled. Just line up the pins and plug it in.

Thanks for the quick reply.. As I am new to arduino products, I am having a Timer1 error when I try to run the dmd-clock_readout example. The error is:-

dmd_clock_readout.pde: In function 'void setup()':
dmd_clock_readout:84: error: 'Timer1' was not declared in this scope

Can you give me a guide to fix the error....
