Re: What is the trick to get windows 7 working with card

(Out of date, see post below.)

I've also just updated the INF Windows Driver as it wasn't working correctly on Windows XP. The post above is updated with instructions to download INF file version 1.2 and follow the steps to update.

Re: leostick not installing on xp

"serial com port 12 not found, retry the upload from another serial port?" Hi Mike, I'm really terribly sorry, there was another bug in the INF file - the LeoStick's USB ID is reported differently in Windows XP compared to later Windows versions. Why, I do not know. I just followed the steps from s...

Re: leostick not installing on xp

Hi Mike,

Glad to hear it's getting closer to fully working! So what happens now if you upload without pressing reset?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for bearing with us. I've posted another version of the board profile here. Can you please download that one and try it out?

Re: What is the trick to get windows 7 working with card

Hi Dave, Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I've read about modifying the LeoStick_Bootloader_Driver_v1.inf file but I can't find it in any of the many zips I've downloaded from Freetronics. Can someone point me to where I can download - LeoStick_Bootloader_Driver_v1.inf ? This file is no...

Re: Ethernet diagnosis help

You could even program the ATmegaU2 on the EtherTen to act like an external Watchdog for the main ATmega328p, using one of the digital pins on its programming header to wire back to Reset. But that might be unnecessarily complex. :) Doh, I just realised this can't possibly work due to the ATmegaU2 ...

Re: Hung sketch? Unable to upload?

Ah, I've experienced that myself - should have thought of it - sorry.

I'll put a note on the Getting Started page for Linux users.

EDIT: Done, the note is here (similar but slightly different advice.)

Cheers,

Re: 433Mhz shield on an Arduino Mega2560

Hi Edgley, If you look at the notes at the top of the project file it does explain how it works using the ICP. On the MEGA2560 the ICP is on a different pin. How embarassing, I'm very sorry. I actually never knew about this Input Capture functionality on an AVR (or that WeahterStation program.) I'm ...

Re: Hung sketch? Unable to upload?

Hi Dave, Sorry to hear your LeoStick isn't behaving. I just have a couple of questions: * Are you using the LeoStick v2.0 profile not v1.0? I think you have a v2.0 LeoStick because of the message "Found programmer: Id = "CATERIN"" message (caterina is the name of the bootloader in LeoStick v2.0.) * ...

Re: Servo in the Experimenter's Kit

Hi gth, Sorry to hear the servo is acting up on you. I realise the Experiment's Kit documentation doesn't make mention of this, but can you try the Arduino Servo library and see if that helps? The Servo library is built into Arduino, there are erven a couple of examples built in - you can load one b...
