Re: Cube 3D Printer

Good to hear it's all working.

At the last 3D Printing night at the Connected Community Hackerspace we had two people with Cubes printing away. I think one of the guys was called Tom, but it may be a different Tom for all I know.

Re: LeoStick with Arduino 1.5 beta IDE

I've looked through the Arduino 1.52 Beta, and it seems that they've created a directory under ./hardware/arduino/ called avr. In that directory (./hardware/arduino/avr/) is a boards.txt file that you can probably edit to add the correct details for the Leostick. At least, that's what I can see in t...

Re: LeoStick with Arduino 1.5 beta IDE

The location where board details are stored has changed in the Arduino 1.5 IDE.

Re: What 2Buy

I've got a 3D printer that I built myself. If you're after something turnkey (ie: assembled) then one thing you need to consider is what sorts of plastics you want to print, and the size of the objects you want to print. This will limit the choices of printers you can buy that will do what you want....

Re: Light sensor module

The Light Sensor module puts out a voltage proportional to the amount of light on the sensor. As such, the speed at which you can read the sensor depends on the speed you can do analogRead() on the pin it's connected to and then execute the rest of your code (to act on it). You can tweak the speed o...

Re: KEYWORDS.TXT

The KEYWORDS.TXT file gives the Arduino IDE hints as to what to syntax highlight, so that the user knows they've typed the right thing.

Re: what is the prototyping area for?

Part of the reason the holes are larger is so you can put two or three wires into one hole to join them together without having to resort to bridging them with solder.
