Re: EtherMega in practice with Interups and Server

Are you using pins D10 and D50~52? These are used for the Ethernet interface.

Re: p10 display

It would be easier for you to use the included DMDCON board and the new DMD2 library, you can then set the pins to match the board with the SoftDMD function.

If your display is not from Freetronics please contact your hardware supplier for more information.

Re: Stepduino connection to IDE?

Sounds like you may have a faulty unit. If it was purchased from Jaycar they can exchange it for you, otherwise please email support@freetronics.com.

Re: Stepduino connection to IDE?

Arduino (etc) sometimes have issues with USB 3, if you can try a USB 2 socket (you may need to use a hub).
Next, if you haven't already done so, please try another USB cable - and check the board type is set to Arduino/Genuino Uno in the IDE's Tools menu.

Re: digital Pin2/3 working but not 3/4 and others in

Is anything else connected to digital pin 4? If you are using a Freetronics EtherTen or a separate Ethernet shield, the SS pin of the SD card reader is connected to D4. Try other digital pins.

No, use a USBasp instead:

it connects to the ICSP pins on the PiLeven

Re: Fails to upload

Windows allocates the COM: numbers, can be almost anything unused (e.g. I've seen COM23: last week).
You need up update the libraries to get rid of that message, or go back to an older version of the IDE.

Re: Fails to upload

If Windows is giving the second board a different COM: port value, you may need to update this in the IDE's Tools> Port... menu.
Please try that and see how you go.

Re: Keeps asking to update libraries.

Newer versions of the Arduino IDE can check for updated versions for /every/ library installed, and remind you of the need to update as you can see.

Re: Fails to upload

Please change the board type to Arduino Uno in the IDE's Tools menu and try again.
