Mega 'tail' shield

99% of all shields only connect to the 20 'base' arduino IO's. So it's still tough to access all that extra IO on your Mega. How about a proto board to connect just to the 'extra' IO on Mega's, i.e. A7 to A15, and D21 to D53 ? It would be a stubby little board, so it could be fitted alongside UNO-le...

the above setup was fine for me.
Yes, all worked out for me too, with 24V supply to the EtherMega.

I'm only getting ~4.7V on the 5V rail, and AFAIK I'm not really drawing much current. Seems to run OK though, just wondering what others see on their 5V rail.

and how did that work out for you ? In my house all it would mean is that I was woken by the screaming about the TV not working, rather than the TV itself.

Great idea, though.

Re: SKU/ part numebers

Awesome, thanks.
Glad to see it only took you half an hour to do.

btw, congrats on the full double page spread of Freetronics products in the latest Jaycar junk mail, hope it generates lots of business for you.

SKU/ part numebers

Couldn't find a category to post this, happy if it needs to be moved. I'm putting together a Bill of Materials, and discovered that there is no part number/unique SKU for Freetronics stuff. I could just use the Jaycar part number, but that suggests tying in to a single supplier. Any chance of having...

http://australia.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-processing/7214710/ Thanks! Your RS-fu is more powerful than mine. Having your lead though, I found a whole range of options, some suit even better than your suggestion which is too tall for my liking: http://australia.rs-online.com/web/c/pcb-prototyping/pcb...

Have a look in the Arduino program, under "File > Examples > Analog > Fading"

Re: Ethermega fried the 5v regulator

caffeine and sugar and lack of sleep I hear you there - seems to be the only way to get things finished, sadly. Any comment on my harebrained thought of pulling maybe 1 to 1.5A from that reg for my stepper drive ? I've got a couple of 47uF caps on the feed to the stepper drive, that should help. I ...
