Re: Ethernet fails connecting after a while

Very interesting. What brand is your hub and router? I have a few EtherTens on Netgear gig switches and they seem to be working fine for the last 9 months or so. Since the W5100 chip only supports 10/100, it shouldnt make a difference if it was on a gig switch since it will negotiate down to 10 or 1...

Re: Ethernet fails connecting after a while

Have you tried compiling with an older IDE, like release 22 and see if that makes a difference?

I had a lot of problems with networking when compiled using 23, so I went back to 22, and everything worked.

Besides Jon's informative slides, you may want to check this link out, which may give you some additional info on how to best optimize your code to fit in the limited RAM available. I happened to run into this issue a few days ago, too :) http://www.designer2k2.at/home/arduino/49-arduino-ram-overflo...

Re: Etherten + LCD - D4 contention

Hey Bobj, Since you are using an Etherten, have you considered using Pachube or Partcl.com to collect and graph/share your data? That way, you don't have to store the files on the SD card, and can just download them later from the website if you want to retain it longer. Both services are free, Pach...

Re: GucciDuino

I think it'd be cool to add a GPS module to this, so it can capture the location/time. After all, if you look at the logs, and all of the entries are around 1am, and next to your fav pub, it may not be the temp/humidity giving you the headaches :)
