Re: How Many
ah, so you're not selling individual Bluetooth shields anymore? if true, !darn! and why not?
I guess that's why i couldn't see it on your "Shields" page

Re: PR28V PoE Power Regulator is it really only 1A?
Good point. What sort of protection are you thinking of - capacitors or diodes (or both) ? Although I may do the motors using your infra-red temp sensors. The motor's shape is not ideal for attaching DS18B20's , using IR would add benefit of separating motor from sensor and those nasty induction spi...

Re: PR28V PoE Power Regulator is it really only 1A?
Gudday Angus
Thanks, I've attached my "cheeky" pdf
The circuit hasn't actually been connected to the scooter yet, only to batteries. I'm still developing (forever!).
cheers

Re: PR28V PoE Power Regulator is it really only 1A?
Angus, Sorry for slow reply, been flat out lately. I just tried to attach a PDF of the circuit, but your upload attachment interface tells me "extension PDF is not allowed" in bold red letters ... really? are those cheeky PDF files so dangerous ? The circuit is my electric scooter instrumentation pr...

Re: PR28V PoE Power Regulator is it really only 1A?
Angus, there were some similarities, but not the same way. After the first one failed I carefully reviewed and rewired the circuit (looking for possible shorts etc) and added the fuse. In both cases I tested the circuit first into a power resistor in place of the PR28V first, and then with the PR28V...

Re: PR28V PoE Power Regulator is it really only 1A?
Angus When the 2nd blow out occurred I studied the circuit carefully to see if there was an unexpected short or other problem. But I didn't find anything, and this circuit had been working for a few hours just fine. I will take up your suggestion and take it back to Jaycar for a replacement. I'm qui...

Re: PR28V PoE Power Regulator is it really only 1A?
I've managed to blow up two of these 28V units during prototype testing. On the second unit I put a precautionary 1A fuse on the load side for protection. The input is 26V (two 12V batteries in series, fully charged), and I had just tested the circuit successfully into 12 ohm load (around 600mA load...
