Re: Question on how resistors work in series
Been a year and nobody answered your question......You might already have worked this out for yourself, but here's my take on it. In a simple resistor/LED circuit, it really doesnt matter which way round they are connected. The resistor is there to reduce the voltage drop across the LED and control ...

Re: USBasp dead?
Thanks for your answer, Angus. I tried what you suggested and got the following error message. I noted that the red led on the USBasp is not lighting when I try to upload. If I try a "burn bootloader" , I get the message "Error while burning bootloader" G Arduino: 1.6.5 (Windows 8.1), Board: "Arduin...

USBasp dead?
I dug my USBasp out ( moved house last July and I only now got around to project building ( gonna build a dweeno drum kit..) and I tested it by trying to load BLINK to a dweeno prototype board. Hmm, zadiq finds it and identifies it as a USBASP, the blue and green leds come on, but the IDE doesn't se...

ICSP then no USB
I had a look for similar post , but can't see one. I built a minimal component board for a Atmega 328 MCU and fitted a 6 pin ICSP header for programming using a USBAsp. it worked , no problem. Then jsut for fun I tried programming my Eleven board with the USBAsp - again no problem, but when I tried ...

Re: LED Ball
This is the code I made for my LED Ball. There's probably a couple of redundant parts - I started off with grandiose ideas and then had to hammer the routines to fit in the holes when the master plan didn't work so some bits aren't needed and I CBA to tidy the code up. There's nothing fancy in this ...

USB Keyboard chapter
In the Practical Arduino book, there is a section on USB keyboard with sketch and circuit to build - only the sketch won't compile on a Eleven R3 - the text admits this and refers to using build 0016 - which i take as being one of the very early IDE builds and i found it on a very old and rusty webs...

Re: LED Ball
Visio. Only I can't send them as visio files so I saved them as PDF, which anyone should be able to read but your forum don't like PDFs so I did the conversion thing to JPG and that worked. Thats what's so good about standards - there's so many to choose from....
