Re: Test bench for measuring timing belts lenghts
I am powering the DRO glass scale and the LS7166 IC. The behavior is the same if I plug in 12V 1A or run from the wall wart 5V 1A into the USB. (I mention all this in case it makes a difference) We'll see the next time I mess with it if I can try pulling the socket on the IC and/or disconnecting the...

Re: PoE Voltage
A company I worked for (making HDTV broadcast equipment circa 1999) had a mechanical engineer on staff for the sole purpose of thermal dynamic calculations. IMHO, the easiest way to answer your question is to set up a resistive load to simulate the output in a sealed box and observe the temperature ...

Re: Feature request
feilipu, I just read the Google Doc! Jon, consider my feature request SOLVED.
Wow, feilipu and you fixed things I didn't know were wrong with the UNO. I have a BSEE and I'm very impressed with the effort herein! I can't wait to buy some!
Thanks!
Chris

Re: Feature request
Hi, looking at the picture of the bottom of the Goldilocks from your product page, do I see there are jumpers?? Specifically, those 3 rows of 10 holes at the top... the bottom two are jumpered together? That would have helped my specific project, with its 20 pin IC. Maybe not the total per...

Re: Data port D and how to solder?
Thanks Angus! Yes, this project is done but I've got at least two more Arduino based projects in the near future. So yeah, I'll need to find something smaller. It's tough - much smaller and the techniques for stripping and other dynamics all change! I'm fairly certain all my applications are low cur...

Re: Test bench for measuring timing belts lenghts
Andrew, if you're still reading, I notice that when I power up my eleven, a reset is always required. And then it is 6 seconds before the shield runs setup(). What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Feature request
Oooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! http://feilipu.me/2013/03/08/goldilocks-1284p-arduino-uno-clone/ I would totally have gotten in on that, but glad to see they funded it straight off. When I shared my just-completed project, people asked why didn't I use the Beagle thing or Raspberry PI and I don't need or w...

Re: Data port D and how to solder?
UPDATE on how I soldered 18 of 20 pins of an IC socket to my eleven's proto area. I noticed that a pin of the socket and one of my hook-up wires could be forced to share the same hole. So I ended up placing the socket, raising it up, angle cutting the wire to a sharp angle, and shoving it next to t...

Feature request
Hi! I recently got to play with an Eleven and have a couple thoughts, if you would please consider them. 1st off: thank you for the gold pads and contacts! Oh my they're great. I completely melted the trace off of an original-type proto shield soldering and de-soldering wires to/from it. I could tel...
